| YuGiOh (or Yu-Gi-Oh) is an anime card game that has much of the feeling of other collectible card games about it, apart from one salient fact -- it's huge! Since its release in Japan 10 years ago, it is thought to have outsold it's competitors by at least 2 to one.
In the Yugioh card game, you play one of the main duelists, just like in the cartoon of the same name. The game progresses with each side playing cards to summon monsters, and then fusing them with each other to make bigger monsters, or offering them as tributes to even larger ones.
At some point you attack your opponent's monsters, which can result in them dying or damage being caused. There are an array of action cards to remove monsters from the game, power yours up or generally create some nasty suprises for each other.
Over all, Yugioh is a good introductory game, with a large card pool. a growing tournament scene and good tie-ins with the cartoon series of the same name.
Yugioh Cards are slightly smaller than other collectible card games, but will fit in the same size sleeve. There are Yugioh only sleeves available. |
