In the far reaches of space lies the Pyrs sector, rich with raw materials needed to feed the Imperial War Machine. Chaos forces spearheaded by the Word Bearers, have driven deep into the Pyrus sector annihilating the Hyrusian Imperial Guard.

A lone farseer, of a forgotten Eldar craftworld foresees the oncoming onslaught in the sector and has manipulated events to get the Dark Angels to respond. All the while a Waaaagh! of brutish Orks led by the Warboss Garzulk, the Faceless, colors the sector green.
